Students attending 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛 𝟑-𝟏𝟔 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐫𝐮𝐧 are well into their dance course, sponsored by 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐜. This opportunity is exposing our students to different dance forms, learn about rhythm and movement, all the while keeping active in a fun way with their peers. Today’s photos feature the students using colourful ribbons that help to amplify the energy and tempo of the music. It is indeed a delight to watch them gracefully weaving their movements into beautiful choreography.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 (𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧), in collaboration with 𝐇𝐒𝐁𝐂, has secured funding for continued the art lessons at 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛 𝟑-𝟏𝟔 𝐒𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚 for students aged 8 to 10 years. The children have had five creative sessions so far, led by the art instructor, Mr. Ryan Galea.

Throughout these sessions the students are creating artworks related to sustainability. Amongst the different artworks they learnt about topography art, showing serene green landscapes on one side, while the other portrayed bustling scenes with factories and power stations. They also collaboratively crafted an art piece symbolizing drought, showcasing their creativity and concern for sustainability.

We're so proud of the creativity and dedication shown by these young talents, reflecting also their sense of responsibility as they ponder on the collective responsibility towards Mother EarClifton GrimaGrPamela SchembriemMichael BondinonHSBC

Students attending 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛 𝟑-𝟏𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐙𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐫 𝐁 are currently immersing themselves in an exciting textiles extracurricular project, generously sponsored by 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐜.

The project is focusing on sustainability as the students are being shown how to re-use old pieces of material. They are also being introduced to a craft that is sadly dying out with the pressure of fast fashion that caters for convenience but is having a negative impact on the environment.

Under the guidance of qualified teachers, the students in both centres are exploring different textiles, experimenting fabric manipulation, and creating different ways how to create a new object from the primary material. From joining panels to mastering the sewing machine, and sewing on buttons, they're gaining valuable skills that will last a lifetimClifton GrimaGriPamela SchembriemMichael Bondinondin

𝐇𝐒𝐁𝐂 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 has been a partner with FES in delivering a drama project in the Klabb 3-16 centres, since the start of the scholastic year. This term, the drama sessions are being delivered at 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛 𝟑-𝟏𝟔 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐦.

The tutor, Mr Josue Formosa, is engaging with the students to help them discover their innate power of communication through voice and body movements. Drama is a powerful medium that helps students develop confidence, tolerance, and empathy. They will learn skills to project their character’s traits, to help the audience understand how the world looks through another person's eyes. Through fun exercises and engaging activities, they're learning how to express themselves creatively and confidently.
